The Mission Overdose Community Action Team (MOCAT) is calling on youth for art, words, and music to help “scorch stigma”. A youth “Zine” will be launched by MOCAT at the inaugural “One Voice to Change the World” event on Aug. 26. The all-ages event is a collaboration with Mission Youth Centre, and will feature a Youth art show, open mic, community resource info booths and a BBQ. “Many youth understand stigma and how it can impact a person’s well-being. MOCAT coordinates practical community projects and offers community education, dialogue sessions, Naloxone training, and events for IOAD.
