John Moran’s (1st) motion to redo the July 27 vote that narrowly approved the city’s Flock license plate reader contract extension.
Flock cameras are operated by Flock Safety, an Atlanta-based security hardware and software maker.
Rapisand asked if the successful motion to reconsider would stop the city from using Flock cameras.
He also argued that, even if there are loopholes, state law was still in force, so any such provisions would be illegal.
After a brief discussion, the council voted, and the motion failed.
