VeryDarkMan’s position was conveyed in a statement issued by his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, and shared on the activist’s Instagram page on Wednesday. The development follows an invitation from the police for VeryDarkMan to appear before the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja to provide evidence supporting his allegations against AIG Jimoh. The police also confirmed that AIG Jimoh had been invited by the FCID for questioning over the allegations, while VeryDarkMan received a formal invitation on July 30, 2026, to substantiate his claims. Responding to the invitation, VeryDarkMan’s legal team said the activist welcomed the investigation and remained ready to cooperate with the police. On the contrary, he remains ready, willing and available to honour any invitation lawfully extended to him by the Nigeria Police Force,” the lawyers said.
