Sanilac County voters went to the polls on Tuesday, Aug. 4 to decide the fate of four countywide ballot issues, several local proposals, including three in the Marlette area, and the Republican contest for county road commission. All countywide proposals passed by overwhelming margins. A total of 10,561 registered voters in Sanilac County, or 34.74%, cast ballots on election day, during early voting, or by absentee ballot.
