(Photo by Noah Korver/Yukon News)The ninth annual “Big Squeeze” fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters Yukon took place across Whitehorse on Aug. 6. This year’s edition of the summer fundraiser saw 18 Whitehorse local businesses and organizations compete in a lemonade making and fundraising contest in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Yukon. In an attempt to draw more customers and wow the official judges, some entrants went beyond the typical lemonade stand, offering baked treats, or dressing up their lemonade stand with colourful decorations. Big Brothers Big Sisters Yukon is an NGO that works to help youth by matching them with volunteer mentors.
