Restaurant closing is an ominous sign
['The Acorn Staff']
The Acorn
The sudden closure of the Calabasas Marmalade is distressing, for several reasons.
I went to the Caruso offices recently to ask them to please repaint or upgrade the painted walkways into RalphsMarket.
Nothing happened; yet, Caruso is spending millions on his construction, and spent $100 million trying to become the Mayor of Los Angeles.
The Commons was envisioned much like a traditional New England Commons: a welcoming gathering place for the community, not something driven by profit.
I feel sad for the (former) employees of the Calabasas Marmalade.
