Thunder Bay Police Charge Webequie First Nation Man After Reported StabbingTHUNDER BAY — A Thunder Bay Police Service investigation into a reported stabbing on the city’s south side has resulted in five charges against a 45-year-old man from Webequie First Nation. Police respond to reported stabbingOfficers with the Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response Unit were dispatched to the area at about 10 a.m. after receiving multiple reports of a stabbing. One was transported to a Thunder Bay hospital for treatment. Aggravated assault is an indictable offence carrying a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison. If the Crown proceeds by indictment, the maximum sentence is five years in prison.
