• Brendan Francis O’Rourke Jr. of Chadd’s Ford recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at Kings Point, NY. He also earned a Merchant Marine officer license, qualifying him to serve as an officer on any ship in the U.S. flag merchant marine. • Jackson C. Snyder of Chadds Ford was among nearly 1,900 students named to The University of Scranton’s Dean’s List for the 2026 spring semester. The Dean’s List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean’s List.
