Mohandas was granted bail by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court here on August 10, a day after he was taken into custody from his Kochi residence in connection with remarks criticising the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) agitation at Jantar Mantar in July.
Mohandas was taken into custody on August 9, following an hour-long search at his residence.
Mohandas told the court that the police had already visited his house and seized his electronic devices, including his mobile phone.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court granted Mohandas conditional bail.
Mohandas is an engineer by profession as well as an advocate and is a prominent television debater in Malayalam media.
