A new original anime series was announced at Aniplex Online Fest last weekend with Inherit the Winds. The project comes from an original story by Yutaka Narui and Aniplex with Azuki Mashiba. With plans for a January 2027 debut, the latest update on the project has come in with a new cast key visual after updating with some new additions recently. A soldier who has lost his memories is aided by the famous Shinsengumi member Sōji Okita. Sōji Okita names this man “Junsuke Tachikawa.”
