Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has appealed to United States President Donald Trump and the international community to closely monitor the forthcoming Osun State governorship election. He urged the US government and other members of the international community to pay close attention to developments in Osun as the state prepares to go to the polls. Davido said the people of Osun State should be allowed to exercise their constitutional right to vote freely and peacefully without fear. In his appeal, he wrote, “President Donald Trump, I am calling your attention to the situation in Osun State, Nigeria, as we approach the election. His appeal comes amid preparations for the Osun governorship election, with calls for a peaceful and credible electoral process.
