Jocelyn Benson prevailed over Christopher Swanson in the Democratic race, 1,211-225 in Mackinac County, and 2,929-593 in Chippewa County. Mallory McMorrow, who withdrew from the race before the primary election day, received 200 Chippewa County and 86 Mackinac County votes. The Republican primary was uncontested, with nominee Mike Rogers receiving 1,650 votes in Mackinac County votes and 3,756 in Chippewa County.
