COPLEY — Township officials and residents gathered July 31 to celebrate the opening of Copley’s new Community Hall, located at 1540 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road. The Community Hall was funded as part of a voter-approved $20.5 million bond levy passed in November 2022, which also included a new 35,000-square-foot Police and Fire Safety Center at 1260 Sunset Drive. Officials said plans also are in the works to add a playground to the community space on the south end of the property. “We are excited to finally kick off the Community Hall,” Sutherland said, adding that several community organizations and nonprofits have secured the hall to host their regular meetings. The Community Hall space was previously used as fire bays at the former Copley Fire Station No.
