SHARON — The Sharon Township Board of Trustees heard the latest updates from the Sharon Township Fire Department at the July 28 meeting. In other news, the board approved a pay raise for Zoning Inspector Jeff Stroup. Trustees approved raising his pay from $22 per hour to $25 per hour effective Aug. 1. Trustees also thanked Janet George and others for planning the ice cream social to celebrate the country’s semiquincentennial July 25. The Sharon Township Board of Trustees will next meet Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Sharon Township Administration Building, 1322 Sharon Copley Road.
