Websites shouldn’t be able to see your exact location unless you grant precise location access to that individual site, which will almost always require consent through a pop-up from your operating system. Without access to your precise location, websites can still see your general location through your IP address, which you can hide by using a trustworthy VPN. There are ways that websites can fingerprint you or discover your identity despite using a VPN, especially if you aren’t doing anything else to protect yourself from them. Also note that websites may block access if they detect a VPN connection, banking sites or streaming services are two common culprates of this. Tor will only make that problem worse, because all of the exit node IP addresses are public.
