Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad Panda): Large-scale wastage of drinking water due to the absence of taps on supply pipelines has triggered a concern at Batsirpur village under Madhusudanpur Gram Panchayat in Gosani Block of Gajapati district. Residents alleged that water gushes onto the road during every supply cycle as the pipelines lack taps, leading to massive wastage of potable water while also damaging the village road. On receiving information about the problem, Paralakhemundi MLA Rupesh Panigrahi visited the spot and inspected the drinking water supply system. The MLA stressed the need for installing taps at the required locations, ensuring proper closure of pipelines after water supply, and taking immediate steps to prevent water wastage. He also emphasized improving the water supply system to ensure efficient water management and avoid future scarcity.
