A tiny California Myotis bat who arrived at Wild ARC after becoming trapped in a glue trap set for rodents is ready for release. The BC SPCA Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (ARC) received the California myotis in July after it was discovered stuck in a sticky and harrowing situation. Thankfully, no major injuries were found during the initial examination,” Wild ARC said in a statement. After a couple of careful mineral oil baths, supportive fluids and nutritious food, plenty of rest and some dedicated self-grooming, the little bat made an incredible recovery. It was the fastest bat release I’ve seen in a long time.”
