Stephen Leslie Baer, affectionately known as Steve, passed away on June 7, 2026, in Parsons, Kansas, at the age of 79. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lola Baer; his parents, William D. and Leola M. Baer; and his son, Timothy A. Baer. Also preceding him in death are his brothers, Frank A. Baer and William D. Baer Jr.Steve is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Baer (Brian) of Portland, Oregon; his son, Mark Baer (Kimberly) of Molalla, Oregon; and step-daughter Jackie Thies (Jan) of Quarryville, Pennsylvania. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and eleven step-great-grandchildren. His unwavering devotion to his family and country serves as a lasting inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
