Phillip Alan Boring, 80, of Parsons, passed away at 2:18 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2026, at University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on September 15, 1945, to Homer R. and Dorothy L. (Merling) Boring in Parsons, Kansas. Following high school, Phillip earned an associate's degree from Labette Community College. Besides his loving wife, Sharon, Phillip is survived by two sons, Joshua Boring and Mark Boring, both of Parsons; five grandchildren, Braxton Hellwig (Derek) of Oswego, Kansas, Maddisyn Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Parker R. Boring (Taylor) of Liberty, Kansas, Tate Johnston-Boring of Delaware, Oklahoma, and Isaac Boring of Parsons, Kansas; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Wallace, and Evelyn; and one brother, Brent Boring (Marcia) of Erie, Kansas. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, at Parsons Foursquare Church.
