She was born on June 21, 1936, to Lee and Edyth Hutsell, being named Margaret Sue Hutsell, and raised in Maryville, Tennessee. She had three older brothers named Charles, Bill, and Jim; and one older sister named Aileen. She gave birth to a son Rick Powell. After living in Parsons for approximately 60 years, she moved to Pinedale, Wyoming, in 2023, where her daughter lives. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons.
