Johnnie Wayne CosbyOSWEGO — Johnnie Wayne Cosby, 89, of Oswego, passed away the morning of Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Freeman Health in Joplin. Wayne was born on July 21, 1936, to Wesley and Etta (Padgett) Cosby in Mound Valley, Kansas. After high school, Wayne moved to Wichita and worked at Boeing Aircraft. An avid sports fan and a devoted father, Wayne loved coaching his children as they grew up and played baseball, basketball, and softball. On March 7, 1959, Wayne and Patricia Ann Divine were united in marriage in Miami, Oklahoma.
