Cindy HelmsLEBANON, Tenn. — Cindy Helms passed away on June 9, 2026 in Lebanon, Tennessee. Preceding her were her parents Julius “JW” Ward and Mary Gwaltney Ward, and her sister, Gail Ward Schwartz. She is survived by Richard Helms, her husband of over 50 years; her three sons – Richard W. Helms, Benjamin D. Helms, and Michael L. Helms; her goddaughter Kate Harrington; and her sister, Judy Ward Lundberg. Cindy was born on May 22, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas. Cindy was a long-time member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Parsons.
