ST. PAUL — Christine Mary Schettler, 89, of St. Paul, Kansas passed peacefully Monday, July 20, 2026 at Prairie Mission Retirement Village. Christine was born Nov. 4, 1936 in rural Sterling, Oklahoma the second daughter of Herman and Rose (Doebel) Schettler. Her family moved to St. Paul, Kansas when she was eight where she attended St. Paul schools. Survivors include her four brothers and four sisters: Roseann Gartner of Topeka, Jane (John) Lancaster of Wichita, John Schettler of Parsons, Paul (Helen) Schettler of Walnut, Leo (Marie) Schettler of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Helen (Mike) Phillips of Goodyear, Arizona, Clara (Ralph) White of Columbus and Charles (Alice) Schettler of St. Paul. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Rose Schettler, sister-in-law, Betty Schettler, and a nephew Thomas Paul Schettler.
