Nicolas Sanchez, 74, of Parsons, died at 5:48 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at his home. He was born Oct. 25, 1951 at Sioux City, Iowa, a son of Nicholas Menesses and Lola Lee (Holmes) Sanchez. The family worked for a carnival and Nicolas grew up in various communities. In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons – Brandon Sanchez, and his wife, Amy, Winona, Minnesota, aand Bryon Sanchez; two daughters – Brandi Freeman, and her husband, Joe, Girard, Kansas, and Kayla Thurman, and her husband, Jordan, Parsons; seven grandchildren – Kylie Diskin, and her husband Trent, Girard; Morgan Sanchez, Winona, Minnesota; Keagan Heiskell, Parsons; Landon Sanchez, Winona, Minnesota; Karly Waun, Parsons; Frank O'Banion, Parsons; Easton Thurman, Parsons; and one brother – Edward “Rusty” Klein, Erie, Kansas. He was preceded in death by two brothers – Danny and Jack Sanchez; two sisters – Mary Sanchez and Crystal Holmes; and two nephews - Michael Klein and Ricky Sanchez.
