President Javier Milei on Monday accused Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, without providing evidence, of using immigration to grant migrants Spanish nationality so they would vote for him and help "perpetuate his tyranny."
"In Spain's case, Sánchez uses those immigrants to grant them nationality so they vote for him and, let's say, perpetuate his tyranny," Milei said in an interview with LN+ television.
On Saturday, Milei commented publicly on Spain's migration crisis for the first time in a post on X, once again directing criticism at "socialism."
In the same interview, Milei also voiced support for charging foreign nationals to use public services in Argentina, including education.
The migration crisis in Ceuta has left at least 72 people dead while attempting to cross from Morocco, Spanish authorities said on Sunday.
