The latest acquisition leaves BitMine holding roughly 4.8% of Ethereum’s 120.7 million ETH supply, according to the company’s August 10 treasury update. At 5.81 million ETH, BitMine is now approximately 96% of the way toward what Chairman Tom Lee calls the “Alchemy of 5%” strategy. A hypothetical 2.5% annual yield on 5 million ETH would generate approximately 125,000 ETH annually before expenses, validator performance and other adjustments.
