A DEFIBRILLATOR which could mean the difference between “life and death” in an emergency has been missing from its public-access cabinet for three weeks. The device at the Co-op’s Maufant store was discovered to be missing on Sunday 19 July following an incident the previous day. An automated external defibrillator can make the difference between life and death in a cardiac emergency, and every minute counts. The missing defibrillator is a Phillips automated external defibrillator contained in a green St John Ambulance case. In a statement, it said: “We are aware that the defibrillator at Maufant has been removed from its box and are in the process of replacing the device.
