After an unconventional offseason, Texas offensive lineman Cole Hutson has officially rejoined the Longhorns for a fifth season on the Forty Acres, the University announced Friday.
AdvertisementFor the Longhorns, Hutson’s return will likely help bolster the strength of the team’s pass and rush protection.
That being said, getting Hutson back for a fifth year wasn’t something that head coach Steve Sarkisian could count on.
Following Texas’ worst rushing year of the Sarkisian era, the Longhorns could use all the help and depth they can get on the front lines.
Hutson will join the crew responsible for creating gaps for new running back transfers Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown, along with returning quarterback Arch Manning.
