New paramedics headed to the Hunter as NSW Ambulance welcomes latest intake

NSW Ambulance has welcomed 120 new paramedic interns, four paramedic inductees and 26 emergency medical call takers after they were officially inducted into the service at a ceremony last Friday.
The new emergency medical call takers will all be posted to Sydney and Western Control Centres.
Locally, four interns will be posted to Hunter Zone 1, with a further nine heading to Hunter Zone 2, which covers Singleton, Muswellbrook and Scone.
A further 13 interns will be posted to the Central Coast Zone, 13 to the Mid North Coast NSW Zone, and two to the New England Zone.
“These graduating paramedics and emergency medical call takers represent the future of emergency healthcare and will make a vital contribution to their communities,” he said.
