Following reports that Apple had scrapped its long-rumored all-glass iPhone planned for the device’s 20th anniversary, Bloomberg says the redesign remains on track for next year’s Pro models.
Bloomberg says redesign remains on trackEarlier today, analyst firm Jefferies downgraded Apple’s stock, citing supply chain checks that suggest Apple had scrapped plans for a rumored all-glass iPhone expected to mark the device’s 20th anniversary next year.
The design didn’t hold up when Apple had to figure out how to produce it at large volumes, according to the people.
The report goes on to directly contradict Jefferies’s note from earlier today, adding that “Apple’s product road map hasn’t changed.”
What Jefferies saidEarlier today, Jefferies analyst Edison Lee said that, based on the firm’s supply chain checks, the all-glass iPhone has been canceled due to poor production yields.
