IndieWire continues its expansion of the Future of Filmmaking franchise with a new event announcement and staff promotions. IndieWire’s Future of Filmmaking Summit is returning for a second edition on Saturday, October 17 at Penske Media HQ (Lumen West LA). The 2026 summit will continue to expand IndieWire and The American Pavilion’s year-round programming. Along with The American Pavilion addition to IndieWire, Lynne Howard, The American Pavilion’s Senior Vice President, has been promoted to IndieWire, Senior Vice President of Operations. In addition, The American Pavilion’s Jessica Hokanson has been promoted to IndieWire Manager, Creative Marketing & Event Operations to oversee all marketing duties for IndieWire events, sales, and student programs.
