A regional meeting of transporters will be held on Tuesday (August 11) in Skopje as part of the efforts to find a solution to the problem facing Western Balkan carriers regarding stays in the Schengen zone. Representatives of transport companies from North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate. “The problem has still not been resolved. The meeting will be held so that we can establish the agenda for our future activities”, Biljana Muratovska of the Makam-trans Association says. Transport associations from the Western Balkans are requesting an exemption for professional drivers from the rule that limits stays to 90 days within a 180-day period.
