MUTH’S TRUTHSWhen I’m recruiting candidates to run, one of the biggest objections I hear is they can’t run because they can’t afford to spend all the time “required” to knock doors. In response to my Muth’s Truths column yesterday (link below) about the GOP’s failed get-out-the-vote programs and door-knocking, I received several emails from candidates seconding my emotion. This cycle, my team and I knocked on 10,000 doors because I was told that was the way to win. But plenty of better-managed campaigns win every cycle with smarter campaign strategies that are far more effective…and, frankly, in this day and age, less dangerous. It set a stage that, only a few years later, is in previews for a total lockdown of American freedom.
