Trevoh Chalobah said one conversation with Cesc Fabregas was all he needed to be persuaded to leave Chelsea and join him at Como. Chalobah, who played alongside Fabregas for one season in 2018-19 at Chelsea, completed his move to Como on Sunday in a deal reportedly worth up to €35m (£30m). He joins a Como side preparing for their first season in the Champions League after finishing fourth in Serie A in 2025-26. But when asked about the reason behind his move to Italy, Chalobah revealed that a call with Fabregas drove the deal to get signed, sealed and delivered. Como then face Liverpool and Alula SC before beginning their Serie A campaign away to Udinese, but before turning out for his new team, Chalobah took the time to thank Chelsea in an emotional farewell.
