Segerstrom Center for the Arts has leased a new 12,185-square-foot building in Santa Ana to expand studio space for its two educational programs, Studio D: Arts School for All Abilities and the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) William J. Gillespie School. “This new studio is an investment in the future of dance and arts education in Orange County,” Segerstrom Center CEO Casey Reitz said in a statement to the Business Journal. “It provides the dedicated space, specialized resources, and accessible learning environments needed to serve more students and families,” Reitz added. The new facility, located near the Costa Mesa arts campus, provides additional space for both schools to expand curriculums, increase studio capacity and accommodate more students while remaining associated with Segerstrom Center. Segerstrom is planning to build seven new studio spaces at the building, two for Studio D and the other five for ABT.
