County Judge Ben Zeller opened the budget workshop by outlining the proposal, which totals approximately $61.8 million in the General Fund and $93.3 million across all county funds. Total annual debt service is estimated at $4.78 million, including approximately $2.2 million in interest. Under state law, the county judge must file the proposed budget with the Victoria County Clerk by Aug. 15.
