It is not every day that you see a 95-year-old steam engine making its way down Union Street in Aberdeen. The 50-year-old was out and about with the 1931-built steam engine to make his way to an event at Ferryhill Heritage Railway Trust. And maybe more Aberdonians might buy a steam engine, as Mr West revealed his is LEZ compliant as it is exempt because of its age. ‘They thought it was brilliant’This is the 50-year-old’s second steam engine, and something he bought “just for fun”.
