Weather expert reveals how viewing is shaping up for solar eclipse

A weather expert has said it will be ‘hit and miss’ for those hoping to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse this week.
Ireland will see its first solar eclipse since 1999 on August 12 when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun.
Monday started out with mist and fog patches before introducing some cloudy and sunny spells.
Thursday will be another warm/hot day with sunny spells, though a few showers will push through, some of which may turn heavy at times.
They added: ‘Saturday next looks like a day of sunny spells and some scattered showers.
