Water leaks have been detected at two locations in the City of Kenton. One was on Eliza Street between Main and Detroit, and the other is in the 100 block of North Detroit Street. Safety Service Director Cindy Murray said the leaks were detected as the result of a leak detection survey conducted at the city’s request that is designed to find leaks in an ongoing effort to cut down on the loss of water throughout the city. Because a leak was found on newly installed lines in the downtown, a second survey by a separate company, was authorized, and it too detected the leaks in the same locations. HSX crews dug up the area on Eliza this (Monday) morning and the leak was located.
