Aug 10, 2026Dwayne PageThe Liberty Mayor and Aldermen elect, fresh of their victories last Thursday, were sworn into office to begin their four year terms Monday evening at city hall. General Sessions Court Judge Brandon Cox administered the oath to Mayor-Elect Audrey Martin, who is starting her second term, and to the five Aldermen-elect, Kendra Stanford, George McGraw, Justine Sandoval, Connie Martin, and Natasha Figgins. All aldermen are new except for Stanford, who is beginning her second term. Stanford and McGraw won as write-in candidates for aldermen while the names of Sandoval, Martin, and Figgins were on the ballotAlthough the election commission has yet to certifyy the results from all the August 4th elections the Liberty charter states that “The mayor and aldermen so elected shall hold their respective offices for a term of four (4) years and until their successors are duly elected and qualified”.
