Over the last decade or so, Persona has exploded in terms of popularity. This has definitely been the case with the original Persona and Persona 2, both of which have been abandoned while developer Atlus does all it can to promote the worlds and characters of Persona 3, 4, and 5. But that hasn't stopped more hardcore fans from asking after potential remakes or remasters. After all, Atlus has turned to the classics when it comes to merchandising. Indeed, back in April, some official listings for Persona 1 and 2 merch seemed especially suspicious — but the studio remains quiet on its plans outside of the upcoming Persona 4 Revival release, and the recently announced Persona 6.
