By Popoola Jamiu, AbeokutaThe Ogun State Government has intensified efforts to drive sustainable grassroots development and boost internally generated revenue (IGR) through a new eucalyptus plantation initiative and the training of more than 2,400 community leaders across the state. Meanwhile, the state government has also continued to strengthen grassroots governance through the annual Basic Citizenship and Leadership Training Course organised by the Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives in collaboration with the Ogun Community Development Council. He urged them to apply the knowledge acquired during the training to promote peace, unity and sustainable development across the state. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completing the project and transforming the institute into a modern centre for community development training.
