Southwark tube station will be closed to Jubilee line passengers for several hours each weekday for nearly four weeks while construction work takes place above the station. From Monday 17th August until Friday 11th September, Jubilee line trains will not stop at Southwark between 9:45am and 4:15pm, Monday to Friday. Passengers who would normally use Southwark tube station are being advised to use Waterloo station for the Jubilee line instead. Waterloo is about an 8-10-minute walk from Southwark station. The weekday daytime closures will run from Monday 17th August until Friday 11th September, with Southwark station remaining open before 9:45am and after 4:15pm each day.
