A Lake County man died after multiple gunmen opened fire on him at a bus stop in Chicago, leaving him shot multiple times and a woman also wounded, police officials said. The Chicago Police Department said the incident happened around 12:38 p.m. on July 31 in the 3400 block of West 16th Street in Chicago. Smith suffered multiple shots to his body and was transported by the Chicago Fire Department to Mt. An autopsy performed showed Smith suffered multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide. Several windows of the bus stop shelter were shattered from the gunfire and personal belongings were strewn around the scene.
