Investigators are seeking the public’s help after a suspected arson fire left a shed heavily engulfed in flames behind a church in McHenry, fire officials said.
The McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded around 2:49 a.m. on July 28 to a report of a structure fire at Faith Presbyterian Church, 2107 West Lincoln Road in McHenry.
McHenry Fire Chief Steve Spraker said a shed fire occurred on the property of the church.
McHenry Deputy Fire Chief Paul Polep said the structure was a 15′ x 25′ wooden storage shed.
Faith Presbyterian Church said they experienced the loss of their storage shed and everything inside it.
