A man in his 30s died at the hospital after he crashed his motorcycle into a building and was thrown from the vehicle in downtown Fox Lake early Sunday morning. The Fox Lake Police Department and Fox Lake Fire Protection District responded around 2:55 a.m. Sunday to East Grand Avenue and Keystone Avenue in downtown Fox Lake for a report of a single-vehicle motorcycle crash. Police officers and firefighter/medics arrived to find a 34-year-old man from Union Grove, Wisconsin, who was unconscious on the ground but breathing after crashing his 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Fox Lake Police Sergeant Rick Howell said. Grand Avenue between Rollins Road and Towne Centre Lane was shut down for several hours as investigators worked the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Fox Lake Police Department and MCAT.
