Oregon State University’s eCampus has launched a wave of new online degree programs over the past year and early enrollment data suggests efforts are drawing more students into online offerings. According to Jessica DuPont, the interim vice provost for educational ventures, degree programs that launched during the 2026 academic year accounted for about 4.7% of new degree-seeking eCampus students. DuPont also said the bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, which was launched in 2023, exceeded 350 eCampus students last year — growth she attributed to demand and the strength of the College of Engineering and eCampus’ national reputation. Since starting the program, Yang said she’s strengthened her skills in data analysis, Excel, Structured Query Language and Python. The program, Yang said, has prepared her for roles including supply chain analyst, business analyst and project manager.
