For many shoppers at the Corvallis Farmers’ Market, a stop at Mark Van Dam’s booth has become part of a Saturday morning routine. Van Dam, owner of Rising Sun Dairy, has been selling milk at farmers’ markets since launching his business in 2019. “My wife and I run the business,” Van Dam said. For Van Dam, that connection between local agriculture, university expertise and community support continues to define his work, one glass bottle at a time.
