Alfredo Mancillas Jr. pleaded guilty on July 15 to one count of misdemeanor fourth-degree driving while intoxicated.
As part of the plea, Ramsey County District Judge Maria Mitchell dismissed a higher charge of third-degree DWI.
Mitchell sentenced Mancillas last week to 90 days in jail, one year of unsupervised probation and mandatory addiction treatment.
Mancillas’ jail term was stayed for a year, meaning he doesn’t have to serve any time in jail as long as he abides by the terms of his probation.
Operation Metro Surge saw widespread racial profiling from federal immigration agents, excessive use of force and the fatal shootings of two Minneapolis residents.
