Michigan receiving core building to final form

The rest of the Wolverines’ receiving room is fighting for those final two spots in Whittingham’s core receiving group. Joining Whittingham from Utah, sophomore wide receiver JJ Buchanan looks to help Michigan’s receivers be a consistent threat. Returning with Marsh this season, junior wide receiver Channing Goodwin and senior wide receiver Kenderick Bell are both making cases for being a part of Whittingham’s core seven. Similarly, Bell became a familiar face in the 2025 Michigan receiving room. While some, like Buchanan, are seemingly shoo-ins, under a new system and in a new setting, only time will tell how the rest of the Wolverines’ receiving core shapes up.
